![]() Welcome back guys! Today is particularly exciting here at Yips and Wiggles Pet Care as I'm unveiling some exclusive spring and summer specials and it's going to be a busy time! Spots go super quick so be sure to contact me if you want more info on my specials and would like to discuss services and set up a meet and greet. All initial consultations are free, with new client specials as well! Also, in some other news, I've just recently gotten approved to be a vendor at the Angel Pets Conference and Expo in Asheville, NC on June 8! I'm in the process of getting what I need to set up my booth and I'm super excited to be participating in such a wonderful event. If you don't know what the Angel Pets Conference/Expo is, it's a one day event that specializes in discussions and services about aging pets and the special needs that come with having an aging pet. To be discussed at the conference will be "hospice" care for elderly pets, healing from the grief after the loss of a pet, veterinary care and recommendations tailored to aging pets and more! I'll be joining over 45 other vendors to get together and network with other experts in the field and advertising of Yips and Wiggles Pet Care Services. Here's the link to the expo page for more information: https://angelpetsconference.com/ and the vendor list can be found here along with my listing which is at the bottom of the page: https://angelpetsconference.com/expo-vendors/ I thank you all again for your continued support and as always, thank you for your business! ![]() Hey everyone! I just wanted to take a minute to thank all of you who are visiting my website and browsing and booking services! It means so much to me! I'm also here to introduce myself a bit more! I'm a new local business located in Hendersonville, NC and there is so much to be excited for! I've been doing pet sitting for awhile but I recently made this official at the registry of deeds office on March 11! So far it all seems to be going pretty well but there's still so much I need to do! My goal is to be able to get to a point where I do this business full time. For nearly 15 years I've been caring for pets. Starting as young as 10 years old, I used to go with my mom to volunteer at Carl Sandburg home in Flat Rock, NC with the goat farm. I mucked stalls, fed and watered the goats, helped them give birth and I even showed them at the WNC state fair for a couple years! For a school service project in 4th grade, I volunteered at Mountain Hope, an equine therapy center for autistic children and adults. When I was 15, I got involved with local animal shelters and would walk dogs, make them treats and toys, and helped clean kennels. That same year, I had a neighbor across the street who hired me to take care of her 3 cats while she and her husband were on vacation for several days and that's where my first real pet sitting experience came from. As a young adult at 21, I got a job at a doggy daycare as a playgroup supervisor and adopted my very first dog, Goose the same year. In addition to that, I was also working as a barn assistant at an equine summer camp and cared for horses, cows, chickens, more goats, cats, ducks, and alpacas! Since then, I've been actively working in the animal care field professionally and I've learned so much about the precious pets and other critters we share our homes and lives with. What really made me excited about being in this field is that a couple years ago I began volunteering at a wildlife rehabilitation center in Atlanta, GA and got hooked on pursuing a career in the animal medical field and I currently work at a local veterinary office in Asheville, NC as a veterinary assistant/tech, along with running my business and raising my little 4 month old son. What can I say? I'm truly "pawsitively" passionate about pets and I do what I love and I love what I do! |
